Well, my friends, I appear before you with a request for job leads/opportunities in the Hartford, CT area. rikibeth has been unexpectedly laid off, and is looking for work.

142 people are known to have been murdered this year because of gender. They no longer breathe because they lived as who they really were, not who society said they ought to be, or because they had the audacity to love someone or to stand up for basic human rights. I just really have nothing else to say. It's too fucked up for words.
"As some of you may know, our dear friend rowangolightly is preparing to relocate to Kansas City due to some unforseen circumstances. There are expenses that have come up that have blindsided her, and she's in a bit of a pickle. She ahs been trying to sell of things that are special to her in an effort to raise the funds on her own for the move and to restart her life but so far it has not been enough. She is an incredibly kind woman who has been known to drop everythign to help a freind and recruit others to help as well and has raised money for several people when they needed help ...she (and through her so many friends and strangers) worked a miracle in several people's lives, and now we have the chance to do it for her.

and see if there is any way you can help, by donating an object or service for sale or auction, by donating directly, by shopping, or by spreading the word. I would like to raise enough to cover her expenses and give her a bit of a cushion to begin her new life with, thus lessening the burden on all involved.
I am putting it in a seperate community to make it easier to spread and share, so that as many people as possible can be given the opportunity to help.

If your romantic partner told you that, given the chance, he or she would sleep with a celebrity/public figure you disrespect, would you be amused, jealous, or bewildered? How would they react if the situation were reversed?
It's the 'figure you disrespect' part that makes this such a weird question to me. I've never had a partner where we didn't share fairly similar views, so I'd wonder why my partner wanted to sleep with someone they disrespected. I could understand 'They're just so damn hot!' tho. I'm poly, so I don't in general have issues with my partners sleeping with other people. I'd likely not be too happy about my partner getting involved long term with someone I disrespected, but if they just wanted to hook up with said person, meh, I'd mostly be unconcerned. Let's call that amused with a side of bewildered.
